Presidents' Day Song

On Friday, we visited with our Kinder Buddies, and Mrs. Neuman shared this song with us that she found on Pinterest!  We really enjoyed it and listened to it several times.  :)

It has a lot of good information about two of our most significant presidents, all set to a catchy tune!

Take a look/listen!

2A's Citizens of the Month: 1st Semester

These awesome students represented our class for showing these amazing character qualities:
Patriotism, Responsibility,
Cooperation, & Caring.

What wonderful examples these students set for others.  We are very proud of you guys!

School-wide Field Trip to Casa Manana

We all had such fun at our school wide field trip to see Santa Claus: the Musical at Casa Manana!  It was  great for us to experience a live theatrical performance and see all the work that goes into putting on a production like that.

Arctic vs. Antarctic

We have been learning TONS of really cool information about the arctic and antarctic regions of the earth.

We have read several fiction and non-fiction books and are really enjoying reading about the animals that live on the North and South Poles.

Here are some fun websites that your child may want to explore more at home.

Winter Program

I hope you all were able to make it out to our 2nd grade PTO program in December.  It was fabulous and so fun to watch!  We have quite a few singers, dancers, and all-around performers in our midst!  :)

Hedgie Drawings!

During our unit on Jan Brett, we tried out our artistic abilities by drawing several of her characters.

Here are our attempts at drawing her favorite animal, Hedgie the Hedgehog!
