Pumpkin, Pumpkin

Today we were scientists. :)
We hypothesized about what would happen if we put our large pumpkin into a bucket filled with water.
We each added our name to our class bar graph based on our predictions, and then we talked about what the graph showed.

According to our graph, 2 more students predicted that the pumpkin would sink instead of float.

Afterward, we conducted our experiment, and we discovered that pumpkins float because they are hollow!

We also made predictions about how many lines our pumpkin has, and tomorrow we will count them and see if our predictions were close!
